Advance ROTC

Advance ROTC

If cadets wish to pursue further military instruction after the Basic ROTC, these courses, in order, are available to them (assuming they took/are taking the Cadet Officer Candidate Course):

Military Science 3

Also known as Regional Summer Camp Training (RSCT), Mil Sci 3 is taken by Third Class Army ROTC cadets in their respective regions to enhance their military proficiency and physical condition. The 3Cl cadets of UP ROTC, along with the 3Cl cadets of the other Army ROTC  in the National Capital Region (NCR), take up Mil Sci 3  under the  NCR Regional Community Defense Group (NCRRCDG).

Military Science 31-32

Right after the RSCT, the cadets take the Mil Sci 31-32 Academic Phase, also directly handled by the NCRRCDG. This phase covers advanced military subjects for incoming Second Class cadet officers. After finishing the acad phase, the Cadet Officers may enlist in Mil Sci 31 & 32 (1st and 2nd Semester, respectively) in UP and become Secondclassmen of the UP Corps of Cadets.

Military Science 41-42

The Mil Sci 41-42 Academic Phase, also directly handled by the NCRRCDG during summer term, covers more advanced military subjects for incoming First Class cadet officers. After finishing the academic phase, the Cadet Officers may enlist in Mil Sci 41 & 42 (1st and 2nd Semester, respectively) in UP and become First Classmen of the UP Corps of Cadets.
