UP Diliman ROTC holds its first online training

Making use of the university-provided meeting platform ZOOM, the University of the Philippines Diliman (UPD) Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) Unit held its first training day online with a total of 365 cadets, out of 400 enrolled, logged on during the event that started from 10:00am to 12:00pm on 12 September 2020, Saturday.

UPD students enrolled in the ROTC component of the National Service Training Program, their cadet officers, members of the Corps of Sponsors and training staff of the Department of Military Science and Tactics (UP DMST), participated in the online opening ceremony and orientation that preceded the training day.

After the opening ceremony and course orientation, cadets were distributed to their respective units—Rayadillo, Infantry, Field Artillery and Rescue—for their unit briefings. They were also introduced to the learning management system (LMS) developed by their cadet officers.
