This training day gave the cadets an opportunity to review their learnings in the course like map reading, first aid, and other topics concerning military basics.
Cadets, led by C2Lt Samuel Clark Thadeus Castro, 2Cl and C2Lt Daniel Manuel Macrohon, Jr, 2Cl, started their day fit as they jog around the academic oval and do push-ups, sit-ups, and planking.
A lecture then about the description, characteristics, and parts of an M16A1 Caliber 5.56 mm was given and a demonstration in field stripping was also performed to show the cadets the steps in disassembling and reassembling parts of the rifle.
The review was also conducted in three sections – map reading, first aid, and theoretical examination on what has been discussed throughout the course.
And finally, Ms. Celeste Atas of the Corps of Sponsors had a discussion with the cadets regarding the nomination of aspiring sponsors by sharing about the history of the unit, and also the duties and privileges of a sponsor. Cadets were then encouraged to invite aspirants as their nominees.
