A tour around the university was conducted during the US ROTC Visit to UP last 13 June 2013 which featured the UP Corps of Cadets, the University Heritage Museum, the University Main Library, the Vargas Museum, the Oblation Plaza and the Administrative Building-Quezon Hall. During the visit, Cadet Officers were able to interact with the contingents from US ROTC and discussed some perks of being Iskolars ng Bayan.

Five UP ROTC Cadet Officers joined the CULP’s tree planting, wall painting and feeding program activities at Manila Boystown on 15 June 2013. Aside from enhancing language proficiency and building rapport, the Cadet Officers were able to provide community service to the residents of Manila Boystown and contributed to the environmental awareness of the participants. Hardwood and fruit-bearing trees were planted in support for the DENR’s National Greening Program.

Another five UP ROTC Cadet Officers joined the concluding socialization program of CULP at AFPCOC, Camp Aguinaldo last 23 June 2013. The event served as a good avenue for the contingents from both countries to share insights about learning, importance and experience of the CULP activities.
